The Wilderness Society Launches Mini Site: America's Wilderness

In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, The Wilderness Society is launching a new mini website, America's Wilderness. The site includes all the information needed to write about, celebrate or advocate for America's Wilderness is in one central location.

Content on the new website includes the history of the Wilderness Act, state-by-state factsheets, updates on current wilderness campaign, famous quotes about wilderness and conservation, a timeline on key wilderness and conservation legislatio, action items, activist info, and an extensive links section. The site, launched on September 1, in plenty of time for the anniversary of the Wilderness Act, which was signed September 3, 1964.
