React.com Teen Web Zine Relaunches

Posted on November 18, 1997

react.com, the teen Web site affiliated with react, a weekly magazine published by Parade Publications and read by 4.6 million teens, has relaunched with new design, features and technologies.

The first teen 'zine to launch simultaneously in print and cyberspace, since 1995 react.com has used the power of the Web to connect teens to news, entertainment, trends and each other, positively and dynamically.

"For two years we have observed teen use of the site," says react.com's editor, Sarah R. Cohen, "and spoken with them online and in person. The new features and site enhancements were driven by the audience's preferences and responsiveness.

"The Web site features entirely original interactive content that complements, but doesn't duplicate, the print magazine," says Cohen. "No audience is more plugged-in than teens, and we've redesigned to keep in step with their sophisticated expectations and irreverent sense of humor."
