Quentin Tarantino won the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay for Django Unchained. Deadline reports that backstage Tarantino talked about writing screenplays saying, "About 90% of my lines come out of the material. I get the characters talking to each other and suddenly someone says something clever. Every once in a while there'll be a cool line that I'm holding onto for decades. But it doesn't happen that often."

In his thank you speech, he said winning the award is "really really nice, really cool." He also gave a shout out to his cast saying, "I want to thank my actors for doing a bang up job with my dialogue."
