Oxford Dictionaries Online Adds Twittersphere, NSFW and ZOMG

The Oxford Dictionaries Online has announced the addition of another batch of new words to its dictionary. The new entries include several Internet spawned terms and words, including Twittersphere, NSFW, unfollow and ZOMG. Other new additions include badware, bridezilla, eco-chic, zhooshed, bestie, dumpee and lappy. You can a list of some of the newly added words here.
Here are a few of the definitions:
- bucket list: a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime
- meep: a short, high-pitched sound, especially as emitted by an animal or a vehicle's horn
- NSFW: not safe (or suitable) for work
- Twittersphere: postings made on the social networking site Twitter, considered collectively
- ZOMG: oh my God!
