Meredith Publishes Eat This, Not That Magazine

Meredith Corporation has partnered with David Zinczenko, CEO of Galvanized, LLC to launch a new magazine called Eat This, Not That!. The magazine is based on the popular book franchise from Zinczenko and co-author Matt Goulding. It arrived on 80,000 newsstands nationwide on December 2.

The book franchise debuted in 2007 and has sold over 7 million copies so there is definitely an audience for this particular content. The new magazine will be quarterly and will cost $13. The premiere issue covers the best supermarket foods, which reviews on items like lunch meat, cookies, hummus and frozen corn dogs. The debut issue also includes features like Master Your Kitchen and The Restaurant Survival Guide. There is also a feature with fifty fast weight-loss recipes.

Zinczenko told the New York Times in an interview, "It's literally about what products to buy. We think there will be a lot of consumer demand for this."

Zinczenko also says in a statement, "According to our research, 46 percent of Americans are currently on a diet - but 71 percent can't tell you how many calories were in their last meal. Eat This, Not That! has never been so essential, and in Meredith, we've found the perfect partner for bringing this powerful brand to an even wider audience."
