Media Arts Group Signs Agreement with Thomas Nelson Publishers

Media Arts Group, Inc., announced a licensing agreement with Thomas Nelson Publishers and Tommy Nelson, a division of Thomas Nelson Publishers. Thomas Nelson will create a variety of books, including inspirational and gift books, based on the art of Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light. The book collections will be published under three brand names. The first collection, which celebrates American pasttimes and values, is due for release in November, 1998. The two subsequent collections will be released later in 1999.
Tommy Nelson, a division of Thomas Nelson Publishers, publishes children's books exclusively. A complete line of books will be created that translates the art and messages of Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light into a storyline for children's books.
According to Thomas Nelson Publisher Rolf Zettersten, "This is a significant opportunity for our company. Thomas Kinkade has experienced tremendous success, and we are honored to play an integral part in his publishing strategy."
