Beats Electronics to Acquire MOG

AllThingsD reports that Beats Electronics, a manufacturer of headphones, is buying MOG. The deal has not closed yet. MOG's Chrome player screen is pictured above.

MOG initially launched as a music social network in 2006, but later developed into a music subscription service. It will be a big transition for Beats to go from hardware to digital music sales. CNET reports that Beats has big plans for Mog and will launch a web store that will sell both music and electronics.
