Stephenie Meyer Planning The Host Surprise During Comic-Con

Deadline reports that bestselling novelist Stephenie Meyer is planning on a dramatic surprise of some kind at Comic-Con during the panel for the last Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn-Part 2. The event will be something relating to the film version of her SF novel, The Host.

The surprise could be footage from the film or perhaps a visit from the film's star, Saoirse Ronan. Saoirse plays Melanie Stryder who is one of the last humans on Earth to resist being taken over by an alien parasite. Eventually Melanie and the alien come to a truce, as the alien learns about human emotions and free will.

We'll be interested to see footage to see how the director handles the endless conversation between Melanie and the alien in her head. That's going to be tricky.
