NPR Publishes List of Top 100 Science Fiction and Fantasy Books

NPR has published the results of its annual summer reader's survey. 60,000 people voted in the survey. The Lord of the Rings topped the list of the top 100 science fiction and fantasy books. Here are the top ten books chosen:

- Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card
- The Dune Chronicles, by Frank Herbert

- 1984, by George Orwell
- Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury
- The Foundation Trilogy, by Isaac Asimov
- Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley
- American Gods, by Neil Gaiman
