Leonardo DiCaprio is Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby

Posted on May 24, 2012

The trailer has been released for Baz Luhrmann's film The Great Gatsby, which is based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Leonardo DiCaprio is Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan plays Daisy Buchanan and Tobey Maguire plays Nick Carraway. Baz, who directed Moulin Rouge, uses modern music as a backdrop for the film which is set in the 1920s.

Typo alert: in the Times Square scene The Ziegfeld Follies sign is misspelled (the "e" is before the "i"). That's driving people crazy all over the web today. Will this version be better than the one with Robert Redford and Mia Farrow? Take a look:
