Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg The Chase

Janet Evanovich talked about her latest novel, The Chase, on CBS This Morning. Janet co-wrote the book with Lee Goldberg. This is the second entry in the series starring con artist Nicolas Fox and FBI agent Kate O'Hare. In the new adventure, Fox and O'Hare pursue Carter Grove, a former White House chief of staff, who has stolen a valuable Chinese artifact from the Smithsonian. Janet says Goldberg is a genius at plot ideas and came up with the idea of the museum theft.

Janet said the accuracy for locations like Shanghai comes from Goldberg, who has traveled extensively, as well as from her research. Janet says she actually started out as an artist and not a writer. She majored in fine arts in college. She also says taking acting classes helped her improve her dialogue, which she now says it one of her strong points. Take a look:
