Hyperion Signs Female Super Heroes, Will Publish The She-Hulk Diaries and Rogue Touch

Posted on February 12, 2013

Hyperion Books and Marvel Entertainment have teamed up to publish two novels featuring female super heroes: She-Hulk and Rogue. The novels will follow the adventures and dating lives of the two super heroes and will be released in June, 2013.

The She-Hulk Diaries will follow She-Hulk, Bruce Banner's cousin who is attorney Jennifer Walters by day and a green super hero who saves the world at night. When she's not saving the world or suing people she looks for love. This proves to be somewhat challenging for a 6' 7", 650 pound super hero, although during the day she clocks in at only 5' 10", 140 lbs.

Rogue Touch follows the adventures and love life of Rogue, who is a member of the X-Men. Rogue's touch nearly killed her first boyfriend; it accidentally put him into a coma. Rogue ran away from home after the tragedy and met the handsome and mysterious James.

Hyperion's Editor-in-Chief Elisabeth Dyssegaard said, "Marvel has had tremendous success with recent hit movies and we think it's a great time to explore what happens to super heroines when they are dropped into traditional women's novels." We have to agree. And who is the world can resist a book with the title The She-Hulk Diaries? Not us.
