Telecommute Magazine Launched

Posted on November 20, 1998

Telecommute is a new monthly magazine designed to serve the more than 15 million people in the United States who telecommute -- that is they work full time or part time at a remote location from their companies' headquarters. Published by Murphy Media Group, Telecommute is written for telecommuters and teleworkers, and will contain "how-to" features about human resources, policies and procedures, technology, management by performance, reporting systems, and dealing with specific remote workplace problems.

The magazine was launched October 26, at the annual conference of the International Telework Association and Council (ITAC) in Washington, D.C. Telecommute will be the official publication of ITAC and will also be available at discounted rates to other associations and companies with formal telecommuting and telework programs.

Telecommute Publisher Melissa Murphy comments, "Telecommuters are trendsetters who are showing others a new way to work. It's an exciting journey, and we want to make the trip easier and more productive for the remote workers and those who manage them."
