Monument Information Resource Introduces Online Resource for College Faculty

Posted on June 22, 1998

Monument Information Resource announced the launch of MIR's FacultyOnline, a website providing textbook information to college faculty members, as well as college publishers and campus bookstores. MIR Online caters to college faculty by providing information about popular college textbooks, as well as by fostering an online community where professors can communicate about course materials and issues in education.

The textbook search area allows users to view top-selling titles for all college courses and disciplines, or to search the MIR title database. Textbook information provided includes author, title, publisher and publication date, as well as "one click" access to information about the title on the publisher's website.

MIR's FacultyOnline fosters community among college faculty members in a number of ways. The Info Exchange allows faculty to share course materials; the Faculty Forum is an interactive area where professors can converse on topics related to their specific disciplines, or post replies to the monthly "Publisher's Perspective." The community elements of MIR's FacultyOnline are designed to cultivate connections among faculty and to spark dialogue about college publishing.
