Talon by Julie Kagawa

Harlequin has announced a new dragon series from Julie Kagawa called Talon. The first book in the young adult series will be published on October 28, 2014. The series features dragons that have the ability to disguise themselves as humans. There is also an order of warriors sworn to eradicate the dragons.

The dragons of Talon and the Order of St. George have been at war for centuries. The dragons want to rule the world. The general public is unaware of their existence.

Kagawa says of Talon, "I've always been fascinated by dragons because no other mythological creature is as complex. They can be ruthless, savage monsters or loyal and noble protectors. That led me to thinking about dragons in the modern world - how they would adapt and fit in. How would they live? Would they have jobs? What about emotions and love? I hope to answer all these questions in TALON, while at the same time sneaking in the parts we all love in dragon stories - flying, fire-breathing lizards of doom."

Universal Pictures has already pictured up the Talon series. Kagawa's Blood of Eden series was optioned by Palomar Pictures in 2012.

Update: The cover art has been added. We love the red scales on the cover art and the dragon logo in the "O."
