ZD Internet Magazine Renamed Internet Computing

Posted on October 21, 1997

Ziff-Davis today announced that ZD Internet Magazine will be renamed Internet Computing with its March 1998 issue. The editorial focus of the monthly magazine will broaden to mirror growing reader interest in how the Internet affects enterprise-wide computing.

Jack Dolce, Executive Vice President of Ziff-Davis Publishing, said, "The role of the Internet has expanded into the enterprise. Businesses are building e-commerce websites, intranets and extranets, and using Internet technology to enhance existing and legacy systems. To reflect the expansion and the importance of the Internet in the enterprise, we have expanded the content and are changing ZD Internet Magazine's name to Internet Computing."

Internet Computing will continue to be based in San Francisco and its editors will continue to use ZD Labs' Internet Lab -- an Internet and intranet testing facility. Launched in December 1996, the magazine delivers an average paid circulation of 300,000.
