Posted on March 13, 1998

Xplain Corporation, publisher of popular MacTech Magazine, announced it has acquired the rights to NetProfessional and will publish NetProfessional magazine as a bimonthly print publication beginning with the July/Aug., 1998 issue.

While catering to the rapid evolution of the Internet industry, NetProfessional will continue to be geared toward web developers, as well as network administrators and web/Internet developers. It will prove useful for the high-end user, administrator, web/net developer, and more. Readers should look to NetProfessional to save them time and money in getting the job done.

Like MacTech, NetProfessional will present high-level, professional, technical, journal style content. Every issue will feature how-to articles, technically oriented product reviews, as well as the high quality editorial content that MacTech has built its reputation upon. The magazine will continue to have a Mac focus, yet will discuss cross-platform issues like fitting into a multi-platform world and creating cross-platform solutions.

All current subscribers to NetProfessional will automatically receive the new NetProfessional with the same number of copies that they have left on their previous subscriptions. Xplain Corporation publishes MacTech Magazine, NetProfessional Magazine, THINK Reference, operates Developer Depot, and provides custom publishing and trade show services. Founded in 1984, the company has its offices in Westlake Village, California.
