WomanOwned.com Search Directory Promotes 1000 Businesses Owned by Women

At First Site, Inc., the developer of WomanOwned.com, announced they have reached 1000 members in the WomanOwned.com business directory of women business owners from around the world. Listed in 76 business categories, businesses range from ALNA S.C. a business in Poland that designs Linen clothes, to Charleston Wire and Cable, Inc. located in Charleston, SC.

"We have women's businesses from Australia, France, Germany, Sweden, UK, Jerusalem, India, Taiwan and South Africa as well as from the United States and Canada" states Christina Blenk, owner of At First Site, Inc. the creator of WomanOwned.com and a female business owner. "WomanOwned.com offers a specialized search engine of women business web sites that is unavailable with the major search engines. We provide listings for businesses that include their phone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses and descriptions of their products and services."

The WomanOwned.com resource started over a year ago as a small listing of a few women business owners. As the demand grew, more advanced technology was developed to handle the hundreds of listings that were being submitted. The site also developed additional networking resources and informational topic areas to further assist female business owners.
