Winners of The BoBs Announced

The Deutsche Welle 2006 Best of the Blogs Awards jury member gave out honors in the BOBs' 15 categories. The top award for Best Weblog went to the US blog Sunlight Foundation. The BoBs are awarded in fifteen categories and ten different languages. The official competition languages are Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Persian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Submissions in any one of or any combination of contest languages are valid in the categories "Best Weblog," "Best Corporate Blog," "Best Podcast," the "Reporters Without Borders Award" and the "Blogwurst Award." The were also winners in the User category including Lisa Neun (Best Weblog), Black Looks (Best Weblog English) and Mangas Verdes (Best Weblog Spanish).
