Webnoize announced the November launch of Webnoize '98, its flagship conference. Webnoize '98 is the first three-day music and technology event to examine the music industry's rapidly evolving new media strategies in relation to both technology and alternative industries and markets.
"The industry is facing great change and uncertainty due to emerging technologies, shifting global markets and media revolutions," said Webnoize Publisher Tom Roli. "By placing emphasis on cross-industry opportunities and immediate mobilization with regards to the Internet and broadband strategies, Webnoize '98 is a timely and crucial event for the new media and music industries."
Scheduled to run November 2-4 in Los Angeles, the conference will offer a mix of engaging keynotes and panel discussions; informative presentations on market shifts and new media trends; technology, product and service demonstrations; and emerging company showcases. A sample of topics include: new media consumer marketing strategies; the repackaging of music and label-retail dynamics; artists' emergence in an altered industry; financing for the music space; broadband and new technology progress reports; emerging company spotlights; and other forward-looking issues at the intersection of music and new media. Webnoize '98 will also feature an exhibit and demonstration area.
