Webnoize 1998 Music and New Media Conference Adds Speakers

Another round of speakers, as well as exhibition, sponsorship and registration information and an event schedule, have been added to the Webnoize '98 conference site.
Newly confirmed speakers for the music and new media conference, being held November 2-4 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Los Angeles, include: Ann Winblad, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners; Thomas Hoegh, Arts Alliance; Mark Cuban, Broadcast.com; Larry Miller, a2b music; Nicholas Butterworth, SonicNet; Marc Morgenstern, ASCAP; R ichard Conlon, BMI; Marc Geiger, ARTISTdirect; Faithe Raphael, The Windham Hill Group; David Sameul, Spinner.com; Jan Andersen, NetRadio; Hugh Hilton, Wherehouse.com; Charlie Gilreath, MusicNet.net; Scott Sander, Digital Sight Sound; Alfa Tate-O'Neill, Saatchi & Saatchi Entertainment; and Pamela Horovitz, National Association of Recording Merchandisers.
Previously confirmed speakers include top executives from RealNetworks Music Services, Liquid Audio, Universal Music Group, PolyGram Group Distribution, N2K, CDnow, DreamWorks Records, Warner Bros. Records, JamTV, Universal New Media, Atlantic Records, Capitol Records and OneHouse.
Webnoize also announced the appointment of multimedia industry pioneer Ted Cohen as chairman for Webnoize '98. As chairman, Cohen will oversee industry involvement with the event and ensure discussion of engaging, time-appropriate topics. Cohen's resume of music and technology space includes high-level executive and consulting roles with both "traditional" companies (DreamWorks Records, Warner Bros. Records, Philips Media) and rising stars in the new media space (Liquid Audio, Music Marketing Network, Worlds Inc.).
