Virtual Editorial Community to be Created Between Ernst & Young and Trade Media
Posted on February 24, 1998
Ernst & Young LLP announced that it will create an online editorial community by linking Ernie(R), an online business consulting service, with seven prominent trade magazines. To debut in early April, "Ernie MediaWatch" will enable Ernie subscribers to access the expertise, objectivity and perspective of the editors of respected publications in human resources, general management, real estate, corporate finance, accounting, information technology and sales & marketing. At the same time, readers of these publications will be able to keep up with the latest business issues identified by Ernie subscribers.
HRfocus and Management Review -- both published by the American Management Association -- are among the first four trade publications to join the Ernie MediaWatch editorial team. Real Estate Forum and Management Accounting are the other two. Financial Executive will join within the next 60 days, and two other trade publications representing the information technology and marketing categories will be added shortly thereafter.
Each month, Ernie MediaWatch will feature original articles by the publication's editors, who will comment on current trends in each industry reported by Ernie subscribers. For example, Barbara Ettorre, editor of Management Review, will comment on current trends in management that affect growth companies, including strategy, going global and change management. Genevieve Capowski, editor of HRfocus, will address the most pressing human resources issues, and Michael G. Desiato, editor-in-chief of Real Estate Forum, will comment on real estate investment, leasing and construction issues. The articles will appear on the Ernie Web site and also in the publications and on their Web sites.
