Upside Magazine Promotes Kathleen Doler to Editor

Posted on November 18, 1998

Upside magazine announced that Kathleen Doler has been promoted to editor from her current position as executive editor. In her new role, Doler will assume full responsibility for editing Upside magazine, managing the editorial staff and working alongside Upside publisher David Bunnell to set the strategic direction and editorial calendar for the magazine and its supplements.

Doler joined Upside in December 1997 as features editor, and in May 1998 was named executive editor. Prior to joining Upside, Doler spent more than six years at the Silicon Valley bureau of Investor's Business Daily, where she began as one of the first full-time technology reporters, and ultimately was promoted to technology editor. Her technology trade media experience includes various senior editorial positions at VARBusiness and PC Week magazines.

"Kathleen's strong business journalism background has been a valuable asset since she started here almost a year ago, particularly in her drive to develop strong investigative stories about what's important in the technology industry," said David Bunnell, CEO and publisher of Upside Media.
