United News & Media Launches U.S. Parenting Magazine Division

United News & Media has announced the launch of United Parenting Publications (UPP), a new division of its market-leading U.S. consumer publishing business UAP Inc. United also announced the acquisition of Bay Area Parenting.
The division will publish free regional parenting monthlies, websites, yearbooks and directories, and promote sponsored family events. Its portfolio currently comprises fifteen consumer monthlies serving major metropolitan markets in five states. It is the leading publisher of free parenting publications in the United States, with a combined average monthly circulation of 985,000.
