Ubisoft to Publish Trolllz Games

Posted on February 27, 2005

Ubisoft, a videogame publisher, announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with DIC Entertainment, a children's entertainment company, to create videogames based on the new Trollz. The new Trollz are a stylish group of teen friends that grow up in a world of gnomes, ogres, dragons and magic. The agreement includes interactive games based on the tween entertainment and lifestyle property for all existing game formats.

The videogames, which target the 6 to 12-year-old girl demographic, will incorporate all three elements. The Trollz game will showcase the different magical talents, styles and personalities of the characters, as well as the friendship which binds them together. An initial game for handheld consoles is planned for late this year, with other formats to follow. DIC will also launch an online Web community in April 2005.
