U.S. West's DiveIn Partners With Family Education Network

DiveIn, a local online city guide from U S WEST Interactive, announces an exclusive agreement with Family Education Network (FEN) to sponsor and build out community-based Web sites in school districts in three U.S. cities: Phoenix, Atlanta and Chicago. The first to launch will be Phoenix on October 8.

Now, in addition to using DiveIn as a resource for planning family weekend activities or getting the latest parenting tips, parents can learn everything there is to know about their children's schools and education, from lunch menus to school board minutes to after-school activities. DiveIn users link to FEN through both the Living and Education content areas.

"DiveIn's mission is to be the very best resource for people in their everyday lives. Linking parents to schools and education information through Family Education Network is a big part of fulfilling that mission," says Tom Cullen, president, U S WEST Interactive.

U S WEST Interactive packages Internet content that complements U S WEST's extensive national and international distribution. In addition to the launch of DiveIn, U S WEST Interactive has formed strategic equity-based partnerships with world-class Internet companies including CBS SportsLine, Preview Travel, golf.com, TheTrip.com, VDOnet, Student.Net publishing and Wire Networks, Inc.
