Two New Books From Michael Chabon

Posted on November 30, 2004

The Pulitzer Prize winning author Michael Chabon has his name on two newly released books: The Final Solution and McSweeney's Enchanted Chamber of Astonishing Stories. The Final Solution is a novella that received a rave from the Christian Science Monitor. The Monitor says the novella, "is a fine display of such vision, pairing a delightful procedural with a haunting meditation on mortality."

The McSweeney's Enchanted Chamber of Astonishing Stories is a short story collection that also includes stories from Stephen King, Joyce Carol Oates, Peter Straub, Poppy Z. Brite and Roddy Doyle. The Monitor also notes that the well-rounded Chabon has also tried his hand at screenwriting -- he had a credit on the recent Spider-Man 2 blockbuster.
