Times Mirror Interzines Launches OutdoorExplorer

Times Mirror Interzines (TMI), the new media division of Times Mirror Magazines, has announced the launch of the latest in a series of Internet publications for active lifestyles, OutdoorExplorer.

The publication's editorial focus is "real adventures for real people" including outdoor product reviews, multi-media instruction for mountain biking, climbing, paddling and hiking, travel articles and adventure travel packages, and an outdoor community. The website launched in coordination with Times Mirror Magazines latest print publication, Outdoor Explorer magazine.

Scott Kabak, senior vice president for new media at Times Mirror Magazines, says in a statement that OutdoorExplorer "represents a new entry into the general outdoor category for Times Mirror Interzines."

Kabak also says, “This addition rounds out the TMI portfolio of men’s special interest Web offerings and should be extremely attractive to advertisers looking to target the lucrative ever-growing outdoor segment.”
