Ticketmaster Group, Inc. announced today that its Ticketmaster Multimedia subsidiary has entered into online marketing alliances with five of the nation's leading newspaper companies, in a move that will expand Ticketmaster's customer reach and generate potential new revenue streams for all parties.

Under separate agreements, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, the Tribune Co., Knight Ridder and Advance Publications Internet (the new media arm of Newhouse newspapers) will provide Ticketmaster live event information on their web sites and link their users to Ticketmaster's online ticketing system. Ticketmaster Online and its newspaper partners will also co-sponsor ticket giveaways and other promotional activities in all of the participating markets. "These deals link Ticketmaster to the most prominent names in the newspaper industry and provide our customers and their customers convenient new ways to find their favorite events," said Fredric D. Rosen, president and chief executive officer of Ticketmaster.

Each of the newspaper agreements is separate and contains unique provisions related to location-specific information and events.
