The Wall Street Journal announced that it will launch Weekend Journal, a fourth section of the newspaper that will appear on Fridays and will explore issues of personal interest to business readers.

Weekend Journal will launch on March 20 and will bring together and expand the coverage of real estate, travel and sports that is currently published in the Journal on Fridays. In addition, increased emphasis will be put on ways in which Journal readers spend their personal time and money, moving into areas not currently covered by the newspaper.

Weekend Journal will also include features on: home office, automobiles, fitness and health, personal finance, food and wine, style, art and antiques, and literature, as well as a crossword puzzle. Also, Friday's Leisure and Arts coverage will appear in Weekend Journal, along with an opinion page offering commentary on culture, both high and low, public and personal.
