The Monster Board Makes Three New Alliance Agreements

Posted on July 31, 1998

TMP Worldwide announced that its Internet career center The Monster Board formed three new strategic alliances that will further bolster the company's leadership position in the critical online college marketplace. As a result of the new agreements with Future Pages, College Town U.S.A. and Golden Key National Honor Society, The Monster Board will reach an additional three million entry level candidates with job and career related information.

Today's alliance announcement comes just two months after TMP Worldwide solidly established itself in the college marketplace with the acquisition of StudentCenter.com and its InternCenter, the largest online internship database. The exposure is part of the company's strategy to strengthen its position as a career portal on the Internet where people can manage their career from intern to CEO.

"There's no question that tomorrow's job seekers will be the most Internet savvy ever and, unlike many first time job seekers of past generations, we believe they will begin their job searches online," said Andrew J. McKelvey, chairman and CEO of TMP Worldwide. "By providing them with the comprehensive career information they need to find that important first job, we're building a loyalty that will keep them coming back over the years as they advance in their career."
