The Andromeda Strain Returns as a Miniseries

Posted on May 3, 2007

Remember The Andromeda Strain, the horrifying disease thriller by Michael Crichton that launched 1,000 imitators? Well, it's back and it's going to be a tv miniseries. The series will be on A&E. It is going to be directed by Mikael Soloman on a script by Robert Schenkkan adapted the story.

Update: There is now more news available about the miniseries. The cast will include Benjamin Bratt, Rick Shroder, Daniel Dae Kim, Viola Davis and Christa Miller. Ridley Scott is one of the executive producers.

There's just nothing like a terrifying disease thriller, we always say. We have a feeling that modern special effects are going to make this one a must-see for paranoid hypochondriacs everywhere.

Second Update: We added a poster for the series. It has the scary tagline: "It's a bad day to be a human." There are lot of dead bodies on the poster and a man in a protective suit carrying a child.
