Posted on March 6, 1998
Golfers can win an all-expenses- paid vacation at a world-class resort this summer, as Taylor Made(R) Golf has launched its second annual essay contest that will send the winners to the Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort in Pawleys Island, South Carolina to play in the 12th Annual Taylor Made Father & Son World Invitational Golf Championship June 16-21, 1998.
By logging on to Taylor Made's web site at www.taylormadegolf.com from Feb. 23 to April 16, 1998, men, women and junior golfers (minimum age 12) can enter the contest for free. Contestants are asked to describe in 250 words or less a real-life experience when the game of golf helped bring them closer with their family. Taylor Made Tour Staff Players Mark O'Meara and Tom Lehman will be among the contest judges. Also judging will be 1997 contest winners Stephen and William Borushko. William's kidney donation to his son (Stephen) enabled him to live and play golf.
The winning contestant will receive two free round-trip airfares to South Carolina, six days and five nights of deluxe room accommodations at the luxurious Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort (including breakfast and dinner daily) and tournament entry fees. Tournament play will take place at the Litchfield Country Club, Willbrook Plantation and River Club courses.
All entries must be written in English, with one entry allowed per person. Entrants are limited to United States and Canadian residents. Official rules are published on Taylor Made's web site.
