Student Advantage Launches SAM, New College Magazine
Posted on November 17, 1998
Student Advantage today announced its latest vehicle to link companies and students with the launch of Student Advantage Magazine (SAM). SAM is a college news, entertainment and lifestyle magazine with direct distribution, addressed to each individual student by name, and delivered by the United States Postal Service. SAM will be the official publication for Student Advantage's more than 1.5 million members across 2,500 campuses nationwide.
Published four times a year, the 40 page, glossy, four-color magazine is free to Student Advantage members. Featuring celebrity covers and interviews, each issue of SAM contains college-centric content covering everything from lifestyle, career and health issues to news, entertainment and advice. The magazine is a key component which furthers the company's mission to make college life more affordable and enjoyable.
"Our vision is that SAM will function in much the same way that Modern Maturity does for the AARP -- providing our members a useful resource to make college life easier and more enjoyable," said Student Advantage President Ray Sozzi. "SAM is also a great opportunity for companies wanting to reach a qualified audience of college students who are receptive to receiving product and service information from a brand they trust -- it's as simple as that."
