Posted on December 3, 1998

Strategy First has announced the acquisition of publishing rights to ComputerHouse AB's fantasy role-playing adventure Clans. Strategy First is the publisher of the high seas combat games Man of War and the upcoming real-time Man of War II. ComputerHouse AB is a Swedish development team with a string of international hits spanning a variety of genres to its credit.

"Clans marks the first step in the building of a long and productive relationship between our two companies." Says Strategy First president Don McFatridge, "As a former developer turned publisher, we have the ability to recognize a masterful title when we see it. Clans represents an ideal opportunity for Strategy First to creatively collaborate with a brilliant team and also to expand our publishing efforts to incorporate third party titles."

Set in a fantastical alternate universe, Clans puts the player in command of saving the lands from a malicious demon who has fueled a frenzy of hatred and corruption among the Clans. The player can choose the role of the Warrior, Elf, Dwarf or Barbarian, on his quest to find the fabled Crown of Peace and right the balance between good and evil in his world. While exploring a vast, fully reactive fantasy world, the player must combat relentless peril as he strives to outwit, outfight and out-spellcast cunningly adaptive AI foes.
