SportSearch.com New Sports Search Engine/Directory

Posted on September 8, 1998

SportSearch.com Inc. has launched a Web search engine/directory for professional and amateur sports. Registered sites are accessible by key word search or through 13 main directories with multiple sub-directories. Sites may also be viewed by popularity. Debuting with approximately 1,000 handpicked links, SportSearch.com is inviting all sport site publishers to register their sites for free.

"The difference between SportSearch.com and other search engine/ directories doesn't stop there," said Ken Glaser, president and CEO of SportSearch.com. "Because when you do finally manage to get your site listed on Yahoo, Lycos, Excite or Infoseek, you're done with them and they're definitely done with you. People will find you or, most often, they won't. Your site will languish deep within the pages of those giant generalists.

Update: The SportSearch site is no longer available.
