Rumor: Ask Jeeves to Acquire Bloglines

The big rumor today is that Ask Jeeves is planning to Bloglines, the online services for reading and sharing news feeds. Search Engine Watch notes that the recently launched Ask Jeeves blog has many links to Bloglines. SEW does say they are expecting an Ask Jeeves press release. However, so far no official Ask Jeeves source has been cited on the story.

And Mark Fletcher, CEO of Bloglines, is quiet as well. His most recent blog post on his wingedpig.com blog contains pictures of his cats taken with his new Canon Powershot G6 digital camera.
