CDnow, Inc. announced an agreement with the Rolling Stone Network to integrate Rolling Stone Network content into the CDnow store. Starting at the end of May, visitors to the Rolling Stone Network will have access to CDnow's 250,000 music products and visitors to CDnow will have access to 30 years of Rolling Stone music coverage. The Rolling Stone Network content that will be available through CDnow includes the magazine's covers, excerpts from its cover stories, reviews and features, and the magazine's Random Notes, Grapevine and The Industry columns. Special features from the Rolling Stone Network include interviews, animations, and concert reviews.
"Rolling Stone readers feel the music through words and pictures," said Jann S. Wenner, Editor in Chief and Publisher of Rolling Stone Magazine. "We enhanced that experience when we launched the Rolling Stone Network, and we've now completed it by partnering with CDnow."
Wenner Media, Inc., the parent company of Rolling Stone magazine, formed the Rolling Stone Network with JAMTV Corporation, a content aggregation, syndication and technology company that webcasts live concerts on the Internet. JAMTV operates the Rolling Stone Network and provides Video-On-Demand, exclusive content, performance photography, webcasts, site support and infrastructure.
