VNU Business Publications veteran Jennifer Gilbert has been named editor-in-chief
of Sales & Marketing Management magazine, Group Publisher Jackie Augustine
announced. Gilbert previously was executive editor of the magazine, where
she has worked for 2 1/2 years.
Beckett Media, a publisher of sports collectible
guides in the U.S., has named Peter A. Gudmundsson, 41,
as CEO. Company founder and former CEO Dr. James Beckett remains as an advisor.
Gudmundsson has been owner and President of
Design Guide Publishing Ltd, the publisher of the Dallas-Fort Worth Design Guide
and the Austin Design Guide, and Publisher of Home Improvement - Dallas, a monthly
magazine he founded in 2003. Prior to founding Design Guide Publishing, Gudmundsson
was President and CEO of Jobs.com.
Peppers & Rogers Group announced that Ginger Conlon has joined the company as
editor-in-chief of 1to1 Media. In her new role, she will oversee the editorial direction
of 1to1 Magazine, as well as 1to1 Media's online publications.
Conlon is a 20-year industry veteran,
having covered sales, marketing and customer services strategies and technologies since
the beginning of her journalism career. Prior to joining Peppers & Rogers Group, Conlon
was editor-in-chief of CRM magazine and before that she served as managing editor,
technology editor and Web supervisor for Sales
and Marketing Management.
National Lampoon Inc. has appointed Daniel S. Laikin as Chief Executive Officer and
Douglas S. Bennett as President. Mr. Laikin has served as the company's Chief Operating
Officer since the company's May 2002 reorganization transaction. Mr. Bennett has been
with the company since June 2002 as a consultant and then became Executive Vice
President in October 2002. They will continue to oversee all National Lampoon media
and entertainment arms, including National Lampoon films, National Lampoon Networks
and its newly launched National Lampoon Tours division.
EDN has named Michael Santarini Senior Editor. Based in San Jose, CA, he will be
responsible for reporting features and news stories on a variety of topics,
including electronic design automation. He will also cover local press events,
functions, and conferences in Silicon Valley.
