Rainbow Publications to Launch New Black Belt Magazine Website

Posted on August 27, 1997

On September 22, 1997, Rainbow Publications, will launch its revised Black Belt Magazine web site. The current site has been enhanced by the addition of a search engine and a subscriber-based Member's Section. The goal is to establish Black Belt Magazine as the world leader in martial arts information both online and offline.

The improved Black Belt Magazine web site and Black Belt Search Engine offer comprehensive martial arts information to martial arts enthusiasts. This includes archived articles and features from 1961 to the present. Approximately 1000 articles from Black Belt Magazine, Karate Kung Fu Illustrated and Martial Arts Training will be online when the site re-launches, with additional articles being added on a regular basis. The Black Belt Search Engine enhancement is designed for visitors interested in finding information regarding the martial arts both on the Black Belt Magazine site and the rest of the World Wide Web.

The layout and design of the two sites are geared towards easy navigation and interactivity. With this in mind the site's developers expanded the "Black Belt for Kids" section, included a comprehensive interactive dictionary of martial arts terms, added a martial arts network, and enhanced the School Listing Database.

One unique feature that the revised site offers is the ability to subscribe to a Member's Section. This section offers unlimited access to the last five years of content from Black Belt Magazine, Martial Arts Training and Karate Kung Fu Illustrated, and the current newsstand edition of Black Belt Magazine. It also includes hundreds of video clips featuring martial arts masters and celebrities, special online sales, contests and promotions and a personal page. The Black Belt Personal Page allows a member to customize the format of how he or she views the Member's Section. The user can tailor the information to his of her unique martial arts interests. Because this is a premium section, non-members do not have access to these services.
