Primedia Acquires Miramar Communications

Primedia Inc., announced that the Company has acquired Miramar Communications, Inc., of Malibu, Calif., publishers of RER (Rental Equipment Register), HomeCare Magazine, Special Events Magazine and TeamRehab Report, as well as targeted newsletters and supplements serving the construction/industrial, home health care and special events rental markets. The company also produces the leading trade show and conference of the special event industry called The Special Event, and a series of regional conference/exhibitions in the home health care market.

"The organization is a perfect addition to our already strong business-to-business information group and provides Primedia another avenue for market leadership."
Miramar Communications, with 96 employees, will become a part of Primedia Intertec, Primedia's technical and trade publication division. Primedia Intertec products include: Telephony, Cable World, American Demographics, Folio:, Broadcast Engineering and Registered Representative.
