Partnership Formed to Publish Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion Magazine

Cox Newspapers, Andrews McMeel Publishing and Mary Engelbreit Publications have announced their partnership to publish Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion. Since its inception in September 1996, the magazine has been owned and operated by Universal-Engelbreit Communications. With this agreement, Cox Newspapers becomes a 40 percent owner of the magazine.

"Mary Engelbreit has a loyal nationwide audience, and Mary can now count us among her many fans," said Jay Smith, President, Cox Newspapers. "Home Companion has achieved impressive growth in a short time by filling a unique niche among home decorating and lifestyle publications."
