Online Community Site For Federal Employees Launched

Posted on February 18, 1998

After a few weeks in pre-launch testing, FedForce.com has launched. FedForce is billed as a collaborative environment where federal employees, and those who provide them with information, products and services, can commune and conduct commerce. Financial support for the service is derived solely from the electronic commerce conducted between members and partners. Access to the fedForce.com site is free.

FedForce is produced by Federal Employees News Digest, Inc., a publisher of newsletters and books for federal employees, in cooperation with Integrated Data Services of Chantilly, Virginia and Nascent Technologies of Reston, Virginia.  "Federal employees have special interests often ignored by those focused on the private sector", says Bob Brooks, President and CEO of Federal Employees News Digest Inc., "and they need a place where they can share ideas, explore options, and effectively deal with their special interests. FedForce is expected to be that kind of place."
