Posted on July 22, 1998
Newsbytes News Network is now offering five wire services, focusing on telecom, enterprise networks, desktop computing, Internet, and the Asian IT market. Newsbytes' popular Internet Update, a daily batch of new and useful website reviews, is also being offered as a separate service. Newsbytes also announced that its wire services are now available to corporate Intranets under a discounted site-licensing program. The wires can be customized to fit a variety of interests within each company.
"We've split Newsbytes into four vertical and one regional news service to make it easier for customers to get the news and analysis they need to do their jobs on a daily basis. We'll continue to develop specialized niche coverage where we see demand," said Christine Vestal, publisher, Newsbytes News Network."
Sample articles and sign-up for the new wires are offered via Newsbytes' updated website. Free trials are being offered for each news wire. In addition to providing wire services to individuals, corporations and the media, Newsbytes also licenses segments of its news service to websites. Digitized graphics and photos of products and people in the news also are available for publishing on websites.
