New Request Magazine Feature Offers Music Expertise

Posted on October 13, 1998

Request, a monthly music magazine, has introduced a "100 reviews" feature that will appear in each issue. Each month, beginning with the November 1998 issue, the magazine will review 100 different music albums.

The reviews touch on all genres of music including rock, rap, R&B, techno, country, world, jazz, blues and classic. "The reviews reflect the diversity of music fans and our readers," said Karen Weium, publisher of Request Media, Inc. Each month, a brief synopsis of each of the 100 albums will be provided as well as a numerical rating assigned by the reviewer.

Weium also says, "Request is committed to music, and the new feature sets the magazine aside as a music authority. "100 reviews proves Request and its readers share a devout passion for music."

Request is an all-music magazine covering many genres of music. It has been published monthly since July 1989, and has an ABC audited circulation of 500,000. Request is published by Request Media, Inc., a wholly owned division of Musicland Stores Corporation.
