New Magazine for Individual Investors Publishes Debut Issue

Posted on May 28, 1998

Financial Communications Company, Inc. announced the premiere today of Investor Direct, a new monthly magazine aimed at the growing ranks of individual investors. FCC recently bought Research -- which targets retail brokers -- and Buyside -- which is read by institutional money managers, CFO's, and sell-side analysts -- and the addition of Investor Direct creates a triad of linked publications.

Investor Direct will be marketed in a non-traditional way. While the magazine carries a $5 cover price, it will not be available on newsstands. Potential readers will be invited to subscribe. FCC believes the magazine will be attractive to discount and full-service brokers and vendors of products and services for individual investors.

Robert S. Andrialis, Chairman and CEO of FCC, said, "With the publication of the first issue of Investor Direct, we've taken another step in fulfilling FCC's mission as a premier provider of information and analytical tools to help individuals and institutions make informed investment decisions. This new magazine will provide sophisticated data and guidance for a whole new segment of investors."
