New Grease Website Launched

Posted on March 3, 1998

GREASE! now has an official show website. The website provides up-to-the-minute information about this phenomenal touring production, which takes a rousing look at growing up in the fabulous '50s, when slicked-back hair, skin-tight pedal-pushers, pajama parties, and drive-ins were the rage.

Visitors to grease-tour.com will find a Rydell High Yearbook, information about the tour, fifties facts, samples of the music and color shots from the productions. This new GREASE! website was created by T3 Media, Inc. and is managed by kWeb Interactive.

GREASE! is ranked as the sixth-longest running musical in Broadway history and opened in 1972, clocking 3,388 performances until its close on April 13, 1980. Written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, GREASE! is the story of Rydell High Schoolers Danny Zuko, king of the Burger Palace Boys, and Sandy Dumbrowski, the wholesome, naive transfer student whose life changes forever thanks to the influence of tough-talking Rizzo, leader of the Pink Ladies gang. This blast from the past is filled with such Golden Oldie-type hits as "Greased Lightnin'," "Summer Nights," "Born to Hand Jive," and "We Go Together."

GREASE! is produced by The Troika Organization, which produces musical theatre throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
