NetResponse Unveils Harvard Law's First Cyberclass

Posted on March 13, 1998

As the Internet's reach spreads, even established institutions are embracing the benefits of the online world. The Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School has partnered with NetResponse, a strategic Internet consulting company, to launch the university's first online course, "Privacy in Cyberspace."

Moderated by Professor Arthur R. Miller, the class is offered free to the public and is the first in a series of online courses that NetResponse plans to develop for The Berkman Center, a research center dedicated to the exploration and understanding of cyberspace, its development, dynamics, norms, standards, and need or lack thereof for laws and sanctions.

The general public can register for future courses free of charge at The Berkman Center's Web site (located at ). Individuals that are interested in the class, but didn't register in time, can still view the course outline and schedule, as well as the weekly hypothetical topics proposed by Professor Miller.
