Mercury Research Launches Online Magazine

Mercury Research has launched a new website for hard-core gamers and other PC enthusiasts. The site, called The Meter, is designed to help these high performance computer users choose the best hardware.

"Computer enthusiasts trust Mercury Research to help them decide what add-in cards to buy, because they know that computer makers and other hardware suppliers rely on us for the same information," said Mike Feibus, a principal analyst at Mercury Research and an editor for The Meter. "With The Meter, enthusiasts will be able to get the information they need in a format tailored for them, and in a more timely fashion."

In addition to the graphics accelerator coverage, The Meter will focus on other areas of the PC that impact performance, including processors and memory technology. The site will be updated regularly. Mercury Research Inc. of Scottsdale, is a research and consulting firm that is dedicated to providing insight into the markets for PC components and related hardware. Mercury Research publishes reports on a variety of critical technologies, including graphics components, processors and chip sets, and sound chips.
