To increase its coverage of the technology industry in a region that Silicon Valley companies watch closely, Mercury Center, the award-winning online edition of the San Jose Mercury News, today introduced Asia Tech Update. Featuring daily technology news from throughout the Pacific Rim, Asia Tech Update will draw on a new partnership between Mercury Center and Nikkei BP BizTech, Inc., a subsidiary of Japan's leading technology and business publisher.
"Our mission is to serve the U.S. and Asia communities as an information hub putting together an increasing amount of Asia IT and business information," said Yasuo Naito, the president and publisher of Nikkei BP BizTech, Inc. "We believe that Nikkei BP AsiaBizTech news -- compiled from Nikkei BP group's more than 50 publications including English-language Nikkei Electronics Asia -- will become your best tool to review what is going on in the technology world of Japan and the rest of Asia. Under our new partnership, we are truly happy to be able to offer our Asian information to Silicon Valley's high-tech community."
